The public toilet is to reflect the civilized index of each country. It also reveals the country’s civilization level and quality of life.
There is an old Japanese saying ：”the entrance and toilet of one’s family can tell about their personality、tidiness and whether they are thrifty in managing their household or not.”
Restrooms are a part of life
Since mankind began to live in groups, the amount of excrement is far more than the nature can bear. It is dirty and has become the source of infectious disease. In order to deal with these issues, so we have to pay more attention on it and this is the beginning of sanitation concept.

Our Goals

Taiwan Toilet Association was founded on Nov 20th, 1999. Members include public health scholars, architects, building scholars, electrical machinery technicians, environmental engineers and relevant hygiene apparatus manufacturers. They are all very concerned of existing problems with public toilets and sanitation issues. They are specialists from different fields who intend to achieve the following goals:

• To build a humanized public toilet facility
• To improve the toilets for elderly and disabled people
• To bring in high technology equipment and adequate standard regulation, in order to establish a better design for our own country
• To make international contact with relevant organization through internet and attend international symposiums for gathering new information
• To develop multi-used toilet in order to meet the trend of “Universal Design”
• To assist other developed countries and improve their sanitation issues
